State Registration Certificate No. RU.78.01.06.008.E.000975.02.12 dd. 27.02.2012
Acrylic wood stain with UV-filter for highly efficient protection and decorative finishing of wooden surfaces. Suitable for interior and exterior use.
Forms a silky matt film with excellent protective and decorative properties. It exhibits high vapor permeability and excellent anti-condensation protection. Environmentally friendly, solvent-free. The active ingredients of the stain ensure five levels of wood protection:
- Double UV-filter effectively protects wooden surfaces from UVA and UVB rays.
- Biocidal additives protect wood from mold, decay, fungi, algae and wood destroying insects.
- The stain forms a flexible film that prevents peeling by allowing excess moisture to escape, and improves weather resistance (rain, snow, frost) of wood.
- Lightfast pigments prevent colors from fading.
- Micro wax improves decorative and protective properties of wood, weather resistance and moisture resistance of the coating, extends its service life.
To improve adhesion to surfaces and reduce stain consumption, use Acrylic Preservative Wood Primer NEOMID Bio Grunt before staining.
EXAMPLES OF USE: Use on interior and exterior surfaces, including wooden facades, decks, gazebos, fences, window units, doors, staircases, skirting boards, furniture, garden buildings, etc., for their protection and decoration.
SURFACE PREPARARTION: Make sure the surface is dry, well-sanded and free of dust. If you intend to paint highly resinous softwood, clean the surface with a cloth soaked in white spirit and let solvent evaporate completely. When handling fungal and mold-infected wood, treat the surface with a special purpose bleaching compound NEOMID 500. Sand worn-out wood to a healthy layer. Sand previously painted surfaces until the old finish is satin-smooth. It is good practice to do a test patch on a small area before staining.
SOLUTION PREPARATION: Ready mix; if necessary, thin the stain up to 10% per volume with water. Stir thoroughly before use. There may be slight batch-to-batch variations in the hue. To avoid inconsistent color, mix the buckets together in a large container before staining.
APPLICATION: Apply stain at a temperature of at least +5°С and relative humidity no more than 80%. Apply 2-3 coats with a brush or spray gun along the wood grain; for topcoat use a brush. Intermediate sanding is required. The more coats you use, the more intense the color of the finish is. The service life of the film depends on climatic zone and atmospheric precipitation intensity. It is good practice to restain the surface from time to time.
DRYING TIME: 2 hours at a temperature of (+20 ±2 ) oC for one coat.
NUMBER OF COATS: 2-3 coats.
