PURPOSE:
The intumescent paint for treating wooden, concrete, plywood, chipboard, flakeboard, wood fiber board, stone and brick surfaces. Suitable for interior and exterior use in areas where there is no direct water contact. Prevents the spread of fire, provides a reliable fire protection, protects from fungal decay and insect attack.
PROPERTIES:
- Provides group I of fire protection efficiency.
- Suitable for treating weakly absorbing surfaces unlike intumescent impregnants.
- Provides fire protection and protects from fungal decay and insect attack for up to 10 years.
- Creates a matt, decorative, protective coating, adds an aesthetic appeal to the surface.
- Forms a tough protective film, preventing washing out of fire retardants and preservative ingredients.
- Allows for quality control of fire retardant and preservative treatment.
- Good coverage – can be applied even on unsanded wood.
- Parts the color of choice to the treated surface (possibility of tinting to pastel colors).
TYPICAL USE: Wooden and concrete structures. Suitable for interior and exterior (under a shed) use in areas where there is no direct water contact.
HOW IT WORKS: When exposed to fire, the coating creates an insulation barrier, protecting the painted surfaces from the effects of high temperatures and controlling the spread of fire.
COMPOSITION: Pigments, fillers, fire retardants and preservative active ingredients, suspended in aqueous dispersion of synthetic polymers, auxiliary substances (thickener, emulsifier, etc.).
